Maestro Paul Freeman opens our annual tribute to the legacy of the visionary leader with Faure's serene masterpiece and follows with the power of spirituals and their deep well of faith. The Northwestern University Chorus joins us on Beethoven’s majestic 9th Symphony, with its celebratory Ode to Joy, under the baton of the rising young conductor Kazem Abdullah.
