Dynamic pianist INNA FALIKS returns to PianoForte to present "Thirteen Ways of Looking at the Goldberg: New Variations on the Goldberg Theme for Solo Piano."  She will perform the opening and closing arias and one middle variation, filling the rest with new variations by Bright Sheng, Lukas Foss, William Bolcom, Fred Hersch, and David del Tredici, among others.  Tickets are available at www.pianofortefoundation.org.  $15 adults, $10 students.  410 S. Acappellago will present "Escape to...The Mystery of Christmas" on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 7:30 pm at Mayslake Peabody Estate, 1717 W. 31st Street, Oak Brook & on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 3 pm at Naperville Congregational Church, 1 Bunting Lane (on the southwest corner of Washington & 75th Streets), Naperville.
The program features the world premiere of Robert Convery's "Star Song" and the Chicago area premieres of two works by Norwegian composer Andrew Smith. Also featured on the program is Arvo Part's "Magnificat", several of David Maddux's First Call arrangements as well as a cappella works by Britten, Grieg & Hawley.
